Picking a trusted casino

There are hundreds of crypto casinos and many disappear with players' money. Use this checklist before you deposit anywhere, including the casinos listed on this site.

1. A licence you can verify

Look for licence details in the casino's footer, then check them on the regulator's own website. A logo alone proves nothing. Most crypto casinos are licensed offshore (for example in Curaçao or Anjouan), which offers less player protection than licences in strictly regulated markets.

2. A real withdrawal record

A casino is only as good as its payouts. Search for recent player reports about withdrawal times and refused payouts. Start with a small deposit and a small withdrawal before you trust it with more.

3. Provably fair games

In-house games such as dice, crash, plinko and mines should be provably fair: you can check every round's result with the server seed and your client seed. Third-party slots should come from known providers.

4. Clear KYC rules

Find out before you deposit when identity checks happen. Some casinos ask at signup, others only at large withdrawals. Surprise KYC at cashout is a common source of complaints. On this site: Stake requires KYC, Duel does not ask for it up front.

5. Fair bonus terms

Read wagering, maximum bet and maximum cashout rules. Bonuses that look too generous usually hide terms that make them almost impossible to withdraw. See crypto casino bonuses explained.

6. Account security

Use a unique password and turn on two-factor authentication. Only log in on official domains: phishing copies are common. See the Stake mirror guide for how to spot fakes.

7. Reputation and track record

Prefer casinos with years of public history, an active community and visible support. A brand-new site with huge bonuses and no history is the riskiest combination.

8. Responsible gambling tools

A trustworthy casino lets you set deposit limits, take a break or self-exclude. If you cannot find these tools, that is a warning sign. More on responsible gambling.

Quick answers

How can I tell if a crypto casino is legit?
Check that it shows a licence you can verify with the regulator, pays withdrawals within a stated time, offers provably fair games, has clear terms and a long public track record.

Is a casino without KYC safe?
No KYC only means you are not asked for ID up front. It says nothing about honesty. Judge the casino by licence, withdrawal record and reputation, and know that large withdrawals may still trigger checks.

What is provably fair?
A way to verify each round: the result is derived from a server seed, your client seed and a counter, and after the round you can recompute it yourself.
